Heaven Help Me!

Life with six kids, my soul-mate, a bunch of books, a cat & a dog.

“Mr. Tumnus”

I always come up with nicknames for my kids when they’re little. Usually, I get the idea for these names as I naturally go about caring for baby. I have been inspired with a new nickname for baby Thomas. I wonder if I’m a “bad mom” to call my newborn son “Mr. Tumnus”? I mean, as is typical of newborns, he is a little “furry” on his ears and on his back. His ears stick out. His head is massive compared to the rest of his body. His full head of hair has a mind of its own, and he has large, thoughtful eyes. And, Thomas sounds a little like Tumnus. A variant of this is “Mr. Thom-nus”, which my older kids think is (less cruel) like better .

Mr. Tumnus is a very nice hospitable fawn.
